We had a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay at this local-run hotel. Martha and her helper cooked delicious meals and the fresh coconut water was a refreshing treat. They also offer transfers and kayaks for hire. the spacious cabin had good mosquito nets and a surprisingly nice bathroom.

As a business traveler, I really enjoyed the stunning setting of the lodge and bungalows on the banks of the Rio Dulce. The proximity to the National Park and the Canyon of the Rio Dulce was a great advantage. The panoramic view of the river and the priceless sunset were truly remarkable. The owners, who are hardworking locals, provided delicious food and excellent service. The lodge had a dock for swimming and was easily accessible by water craft. The abundance of birds and beautiful lily pads added to the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Felt like it was our own home, no complaints.

We had a fantastic value for money at Casa Maya. The room was spacious and clean, complete with good mosquito nets and a surprisingly good bathroom for its rustic style. The location was absolutely stunning, nestled in the jungle by the river, offering a peaceful and breathtaking escape. Martha and Gerson were amazing hosts, welcoming, accommodating, and always willing to assist in any way they could.
The food for breakfast could have been better with a wider variety of options.
